MakePlace is a versatile tool designed to help users preview, edit, and share housing layouts specifically for the game FFXIV. This standalone application offers a comprehensive set of features to enhance your housing design experience.

Key Features of MakePlace

With MakePlace, you can work on various types of housing, including all five districts: Mist, Lavender Beds, Goblet, Shirogane, and Empyreum. The tool supports all housing sizes, from apartments to large houses, and even includes options for Island Sanctuary designs. You can save and load your layouts from files and transfer them to and from the game using the MakePlace plugin.

The application also generates a furniture shopping list with each save, allowing you to keep track of the items you need. You can modify any interior or exterior fixture, such as ceiling lights, doors, fences, and exterior walls. There are 96 different wallpapers and floorings to choose from, and you can drag-and-drop furniture and items from a list of over 1544 available items. The search function lets you find furniture by name or category.

MakePlace offers extensive customization options, including the ability to move, rotate, and change the color of dyeable furniture items. You can undo or redo any modifications and manage furniture as a group. The app also allows you to create and save custom designs, copy and place them easily, and import or export designs as files for sharing.

Additionally, you can visit online houses within the app for inspiration, with over 200 designs available. The app follows game behavior rules, such as minimum float distance and the use of in-game dye colors. It is available in multiple languages, including English, German, French, Japanese, and Chinese.
