Lowland Keepers is a game that was developed in an impressively short span of just five days, created for the Card Deck Jam event. For the best gaming experience, it is advisable to use a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Opera.

Game Concept

The gameplay revolves around building a cohesive team and leveraging character synergies to overcome increasingly formidable enemies. Players can engage in combat or interactions by dragging and dropping their characters onto other cards. Defeating enemies rewards players with mana, and the goal is to maintain a continuous flow of turns without interruption. The key to success lies in crafting powerful synergies that can potentially break the game’s balance.

Credits and Assets

The visual elements of Lowland Keepers, including the background and decorations, were generously provided by rafaelmatos from the Epic RPG World Pack available on itch.io. The monster designs were sourced from Ghazi’s RPG Monster Pack, also on itch.io. The icons used in the game come from Ghazi’s Fantasy Icon Pack. The font families employed are Lychee Soda from fontenddev.com and Pixel Operator from dafont.com. The sound effects were reused from my previous game, Forward Escape the Fold, available on twotinydice’s itch.io page. I was responsible for the game design, coding, and user interface development.
